You can now easily switch from your current Office 365 plan to another Office 365 plan using the Microsoft Office Switch Plan Wizard. To move from a trial subscription of one plan to a paid subscription of another, first you should purchase the plan you are trying out, this gives you access to more admin control where you can then select and different plan and simply switch. You can also add more licenses when switching plans which you may need for colleagues or family memebers.
Important when you switch Office 365 plans, you may also need to change the version of Office you previously installed. For more information, see Switching Versions of Office if you change Office 365 plans.
For an overview of features included in the different plans, including pricing, see the product descriptions. For technical specifications, see the Office 365 service comparison. If you need to cancel your subscription, see Cancel my subscription.
Switch plans using the Switch plans wizard
Not every plan can be switched using the wizard. To find out if your plan can be switched using the wizard, see the “Plans eligible for the Switch plans wizard” listed in ‘Why can’t I switch plans?’. Also note that you cannot use the Switch plans wizard if your subscription has more than 300 users. To access the Switch plans wizard, you need to be a global admin (for Office 365 Enterprise, Office 365 Business Premium, Office 365 Business Essentials, and Office 365 Midsize Business) or an admin (for Office 365 Small Business).
Find out how to use the Switch plans wizard in this video or the steps that follow.
